Course Description:

This hybrid academic writing workshop series is designed for non-Anglophone professors and
academic staff who would like to develop and improve their writing skills to effectively write and
publish academic work in English. There will be three group workshops during which participants will discuss the following topics:
• Refence material and resources for academic work
• Principles of grammar, style and vocabulary development
• Typical text models and manuscript analysis

3 group meetings (Thursday): February 4, March 4 and April 1, 2027 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that this course is given online (virtual mode).

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements:

B.A. with specialization in a field relevant to the teaching of L2 English or Higher Certificate in L2 English Teaching. Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college and/or university level. Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course. Experience with heterogeneous group.
