Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences, including 24 semester hours of science courses consisting of 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences.
- No prior experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-analytical processing of biological specimens for testing in the clinical laboratory.
- Enter client demographic information and process and review test orders.
- Reconcile specimen and order problems.
- Assist with facilitating send-out testing.
- Ensure proper patient registration.
- File paper requisitions.
- Support supply management.
- Answer phones.
- Ensure proper labeling of samples and distribute samples.
- Serve as a primary resource for Specimen Receiving by addressing problems and identifying resolutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
