What believers are saying

  • Southlake opened October 16, 2025, showing continued physical expansion momentum.
  • Hiring listings in 2026 indicate active staffing across stores and leadership roles.
  • A first Texas location broadens the customer base and strengthens national brand awareness.

What critics are saying

  • Only one Texas store exists, so Southlake success does not prove regional demand.
  • Public data shows minimal funding; scaling stores may strain cash before 2027.
  • Niche comfort basics face relentless competition from Vuori, Faherty, and mall brands.

What makes The Normal Brand unique

  • Puremso fabric and comfort-first basics differentiate The Normal Brand from trend-driven apparel.

The Normal Brand opens 1st Texas location in Southlake

The Normal Brand opens 1st Texas location in Southlake. The Normal Brand sells men's and women's clothing in Southlake Town Square. (Cody Thorn/Community Impact) The Normal Brand, a clothing store for men and women, has opened in Southlake Town Square. The store sells sweaters, dresses, t-shirts, hoodies, pants, shorts, skirts, henleys, tank tops, jeans and button-up shirts that are dedicated to comfort, durability and versatility, according to the website. The clothes are made from scratch with a soft fabric called Puremso. Founder Jimmy Sansone wrote about the fabric on the company website, saying it's a mix of ribbed cotton, polyester and stretch fabric, which is then washed down to feel soft and broken in. According to the website, the fabric is comfortable and built to last. A grand opening event featured Dave's Pizza Oven serving pizza and a visit from Texas Rangers outfielder Evan Carter. A trio of brothers is behind the business, which was started by Jimmy Sansone in 2015. Conrad and Lan later joined the company. The first brick-and-mortar location opened in 2019, according to the website. The Southlake location, previously Scout's and Molly's women's boutique store, is the 13th for the St. Louis-based company and is the first in Texas. The Normal Brand has locations in eight states, according to the website. * Opened Oct. 16 * 1232 Main St., Southlake * www.thenormalbrand.com Cody joined Community Impact in August 2022.
