Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering technology, or an equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • 0–3+ years of experience with civil engineering design and construction projects.
  • Exposure to engineering design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
  • A technical mindset for troubleshooting and resolving complex problems.
  • Written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and team coordination.
  • Problem-solving skills, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • A client-service mindset and the ability to build, maintain, and grow long-term client relationships.
  • Interest in practice development, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • A valid driver’s license and an insurable record for periodic travel.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project goals and technical requirements.
  • Use civil engineering design software to draft plans, create models, and develop design documents.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, and technical documentation to support engineering analyses and design decisions.
  • Contribute to plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with construction administration, including reviewing submittals, documenting progress, and performing field observations.
  • Support senior engineers and project managers by completing assigned project tasks, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams, and maintaining organized project files.
  • Apply engineering principles to solve design challenges, evaluate alternatives, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Participate in site visits and learn construction methods to help ensure design intent is met during project execution.
  • Follow quality standards, safety practices, and industry regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance in project work.
  • Manage deadlines and deliverables, contributing to client experience and project outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Engineer-In-Training professional designation, or willingness to obtain it soon after hire.
