Emergency Preparedness Policy and Document Specialist/Facilitation Support

Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a  Policy and Document Specialist/Facilitation Support to support an engagement for The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) within The Veteran’s Health Administrations (VHA) that focuses on essential VA emergency medical response and support services at the local, regional, and national levels to ensure the health and safety of our Veteran patients and their families, staff, and visitors, and continued delivery of VHA health care services.

The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide consulting support to facilitate the development and creation of a specific, measurable Three-Year Strategic Plan. The candidate shall work with the Office of Emergency Management leadership to document the ‘story’ that demonstrates the critical need for the strategic plan while ensuring the plan is available for release in print versions and electronic media. 

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in related field (or equivalent) plus approximately 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and facilitation of a series of 2-3 staff and stakeholders' meetings to obtain feedback and buy in for these goals;
• Based on feedback and follow-up sessions, work with the leadership team to finalize the Strategic Goals and develop objectives;
• Coordinate with other agencies in the design and review of emergency management plans;
• Assist in the development of a series of employee feedback meetings to capture the current state and challenges in moving forward on all the strategic goals;
• Support the conduct of concept meetings with the Office of Emergency Management Leadership Team to develop an initial a set of 4-6 specific three-year strategic goals; 
• Develop and monitor agreements, documents, public education, and training required to effectively deliver emergency management programs;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and support project teams and program managers and provide daily execution assigned work functions;
• Good presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing to support a myriad of standard services required across the department.
