About the Job

Requirements

  • A completed degree in business informatics, business mathematics, industrial engineering, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on machine learning, artificial intelligence, or cloud technologies.
  • Very strong knowledge and several years of professional experience in container-based architectures, such as Docker, and platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift, particularly for GenAI and machine learning infrastructure.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with tools and frameworks for the machine learning and GenAI lifecycle, including Hugging Face, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, vLLM, and LangChain, as well as model training, fine-tuning techniques such as LoRA and prompt tuning, and model deployment.
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud, particularly for deploying machine learning and GenAI applications.
  • Extensive experience with automation and development tools, including Python, scripting tools such as Ansible and Terraform, software development tools such as Git, GitLab, and Jenkins, and Linux-based operating systems.
  • Experience communicating complex technical matters to the relevant audience and working in large information technology environments and organizations, ideally in the public sector.
  • Good German language skills at B2 level or above and English language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end GenAI and machine learning infrastructures covering the complete lifecycle of AI use cases, from data preparation, model training and fine-tuning through continuous retraining trigger systems, model-as-a-service delivery, and monitoring.
  • Plan, build, and administer on-premises or cloud operating platforms for GenAI and machine learning applications using technologies such as Kubernetes and modern container orchestration approaches.
  • Analyze and optimize existing customer platforms.
  • Provide and deploy local large language models and generative artificial intelligence models on the platform, including integrating tools and application programming interfaces for GenAI workflows and applications.
  • Support data scientists, data engineers, and machine learning engineers in creating interfaces, preparing data, and building workflows.
  • Advise customers throughout all project phases, from requirements definition and design through implementation and successful production deployment.
  • Take responsibility for quality and project success.
  • Actively contribute to developing the consulting portfolio, particularly in GenAI and large language model infrastructures.
