Form Energy has closed a $270 million credit facility to support its energy storage technology development. The facility comprises a revolving credit facility and a tax credit advance facility linked to Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit. An accordion feature allows the facility to expand to $1 billion. Barclays served as sole structuring bank, with Citi, Jefferies, JPMorgan Chase, RBC Capital Markets, Societe Generale, Stifel, and Wells Fargo participating in the lending syndicate. The financing follows Form Energy's $750 million Series G funding round in August, bringing total equity raised to over $2 billion. Julie Harris, who oversees operations for JPMorgan Chase's asset and wealth management (AWM) division, plans to retire in early 2027, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters. The bank has appointed Fred Crosnier to take over leadership of AWM operations from 1 January. He will report to AWM CEO Mary Callahan Erdoes. During Harris' time in the role, the bank's asset and wealth management business expanded to more than $8tn in client assets under supervision, from about $2tn. "Julie has been one of the most influential leaders in AWM's transformation over the last decade. Since joining the firm in 2017, she has challenged us to rethink legacy ways of working, championed smarter and more scalable solutions," Erdoes said in the memo. Harris joined JPMorgan in 2017 and also holds the position of chief administrative officer within the division. Crosnier started his career with JPMorgan in France and rejoined the bank in 2019 after senior roles elsewhere in financial services. JPMorgan said it would name a replacement for Crosnier in the asset management operations position later. The financing will support Drax's diversification into solar power and increase its renewable generation capacity. The involvement of major banks reflects growing institutional interest in sustainable projects, driven by environmental, social, and governance criteria in investment decisions.
