About the job

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in new-account development within technology professional services, custom software development, consulting, or complex B2B solution sales.
  • A new-account-development mindset, including the ability to create conversations where no active demand initially exists.
  • Strong consultative selling skills involving long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, undefined budgets, and tailored proposals.
  • The judgment to discuss modernization, technical debt, architecture, risks, and project scope without being a developer.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • The autonomy and rigor to manage a territory, maintain a structured pipeline, and involve the right people at the right time.
  • Thoughtful use of artificial intelligence tools to improve research, preparation, follow-up, and sales effectiveness.
  • Resourcefulness and the ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Willingness and availability to travel occasionally to meet clients, according to business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively develop the pipeline through targeted prospecting, networking, event participation, and referral development.
  • Identify the underlying business needs behind an initial request and disqualify opportunities that do not match the company's expertise.
  • Develop service proposals in collaboration with technical teams and take responsibility for their final validation.
  • Represent Spiria with stakeholders at both executive and technical levels.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop the sales funnel without relying solely on inbound leads.
  • Ensure an effective transition to delivery and account-management teams while remaining involved in the growth of developed accounts.
  • Advise clients on custom software-development engagements from product strategy through delivery.
  • Position artificial intelligence as an integral part of the service offering or as an optional component.
  • Manage and grow a territory and maintain a structured sales pipeline.
Desired Qualifications
  • An active network in financial services, insurance, manufacturing, defense, or aerospace.
  • Experience at a professional-services firm.
  • Knowledge of the Toronto market and its business and technology networks.
  • Strong rigor in using a customer relationship management system, particularly HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • French language skills in a pan-Canadian context.
