About the job

Requirements
  • Experience managing a public-sector study, system implementation, or multi-workstream consulting engagement through delivery.
  • A record of written deliverables received by an agency, not only meeting facilitation.
  • Ability to coordinate subject-matter specialists and agency staff.
  • Ability to describe the agency, the candidate's role, and the outcome of at least two engagements.
  • Comfort working as a 1099 project-based collaborator and traveling occasionally to clients.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and run a defined public-sector consulting workstream from kickoff through delivery.
  • Keep scope, schedule, agency reviewers, and work products aligned.
  • Turn agency interviews and source documents into a draft the agency can review.

  • Coordinate specialist contributors without presenting their work as the candidate's own.
  • Contribute a staffing approach and past-performance narrative to proposals only when naming is authorized.
  • Surface schedule or access problems early enough to change the plan.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with cities, counties, school systems, utilities, or special districts.
  • Experience with classification, compensation, organizational, enterprise resource planning (ERP), or grants engagements.

About the company

AlphaHire provides a workforce intelligence platform for capital-intensive industries like construction, data centers, energy, and private equity. It continuously monitors signals from 500+ data sources across 180+ labor markets to deliver current, decision-ready insights on labor availability, compensation trends, and hiring competition. These insights are delivered through structured products such as Labor Availability Assessments, Workforce Due Diligence for M&A, Expansion Readiness analyses, and Workforce Risk Monitoring for active projects, without acting as a recruiting firm. The goal is to help executives, investors, developers, and operators reduce operational risk and improve project cost outcomes by guiding capital allocation and workforce planning.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • September 2026 data center tracker flags 140-plus competing projects and constrained electricians.
  • AlphaHire says live compensation intelligence runs on trailing 90-day offer activity.
  • The 2026 research lab ties federal-award data to near-term demand spikes.

What critics are saying

  • AlphaHire depends on public data, and OEWS lags live market moves by twelve months.
  • Competitors copy market dashboards fast; Bloomberg, Lightcast, and LinkedIn can bundle alternatives.
  • If data-center capex freezes in 2027, AlphaHire's premium labor-intelligence category shrinks fast.

What makes AlphaHire unique

  • Founded 2018, AlphaHire sells decision-grade workforce intelligence, not recruiting or staffing.
  • Its 2026 Observatory monitors 180 labor markets and 500-plus sources continuously.
  • Labor Availability Assessment and Early Warning System frame Go, Conditional, No-Go capital decisions.
