Sapient has launched the DynamiQ(TM) Normal Human Tissue Proteomics Atlas, a comprehensive reference map of protein expression, signaling activity, cell surface accessibility, immune biology, and resistance pathways across more than 12,000 proteins in diverse normal human tissues. The atlas enables drug development teams to systematically evaluate where therapeutic targets are expressed in normal human organs, quantify expression relative to tumor or diseased tissue, and identify organs at risk for on-target, off-tissue toxicity, supporting safer and more effective target selection decisions. Comprehensive proteomics atlas of normal human tissue biology. The DynamiQ Normal Human Tissue Proteomics Atlas provides drug developers with a proteome-wide view of normal human biology across more than 15 tissue types, including heart, liver, lung, kidney, and other primary organs commonly associated with dose-limiting toxicities. By enabling direct queries of target protein expression across these tissues, the atlas helps teams quantify tumor-to-normal expression ratios and rank-order candidate targets based on their potential therapeutic index. Beyond expression levels, the atlas incorporates baseline signaling, immune, and resistance pathway data to reveal organ-level vulnerabilities and potential immune-related adverse events. This integrated view of protein abundance, activation state, and biological context is designed to support proactive evaluation of safety liabilities before programs advance into clinical development. By integrating multiple proteomics modalities, the atlas offers a unified framework for understanding how therapeutic targets behave in normal human tissues, helping teams anticipate safety risks and refine their development strategies. Multi-dimensional proteomics profiling across 12,000+ proteins. Sapient uses its mass spectrometry-based proteomics platform to profile each normal human tissue across multiple biological dimensions: * Global protein expression across more than 12,000 protein groups via DiscoverySeek(TM) * Cell surface protein expression via SurfaceSeek(TM) * Phosphorylation-driven signaling pathway activity via SignalingSeek(TM) * Immune cell composition and activation states via ImmuneSeek(TM) * Baseline survival and stress response pathways via ResistanceSeek(TM) Through this comprehensive proteome-wide characterization, the DynamiQ Normal Human Tissue Proteomics Atlas reduces reliance on indirect proxy measurements of protein levels, such as RNA expression databases or single-cell RNA sequencing data. Instead, it delivers direct and diverse protein quantification to inform target selection, safety assessment, and translational strategy. Enabling earlier, data-driven safety and target selection decisions. By providing a detailed map of protein expression and activity in normal tissues, the DynamiQ Normal Human Tissue Proteomics Atlas allows researchers to identify organs at risk for toxicity, evaluate potential immune-related adverse events, and prioritize targets with more favorable safety profiles. This supports more informed decision-making from early discovery through to clinical development. Flexible access models for biopharma and translational research teams. Sapient launches advanced FFPE Proteomics platform

Sapient launches advanced FFPE Proteomics platform. The next-generation proteomics platform is designed to extract deep protein-level insights from archived tissue, enabling broad, integrated multi-omic mapping of tumor biology. Sapient (CA, USA) this week announced the release of their MS-driven FFPE (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) Proteomics platform that quantifies more than 10,000 proteins from a single 5-micron FFPE slide. Designed to overcome long-standing challenges in analyzing FFPE, the system offers unmatched depth across tumor and tissue samples, capturing phosphoproteins, glyco-proteins and rare protein variants with strong reproducibility. FFPE samples represent one of the world's most abundant biomedical resources, yet traditional technologies struggle to extract meaningful protein-level insights from them due to the impact of fixation on protein structures. Sapient's new workflow captures more than 10,000 protein groups per 5 μm FFPE slide and provides insight into pathway activation, post-translational modifications and drug distribution, which are usually missed by traditional approaches such as DNA sequencing, RNA sequencing and immunohistochemistry. Integrated with Sapient's broader omics portfolio, including single-cell sequencing and spatial profiling, the platform supports comprehensive multi-omic mapping from genetic mutation to functional impact, with the ability to scale analyses across thousands of samples. "What's most exciting is that we can now go back to the vast biorepositories of FFPE tissue samples already collected, and using our method, essentially turn them into new discovery engines - unlocking previously hidden protein-level insights that add the critical layer of functional biology to existing genomics datasets," explained Mo Jain, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Sapient. "We can then go even further using our FFPE Multi-Omics platform, not only combining FFPE proteomics and DNA-seq but also single-cell sequencing and spatial profiling data to map tumor biology from mutation to pathway activation, cell-type and spatial localization." As part of the FFPE Proteomics platform, Sapient's DynamIQ(TM) virtual biobank further offers rapid access to thousands of annotated FFPE tumors and tissues for biopharma partners. "By providing access to actionable FFPE tissue samples, we can support rapid retrospective studies to identify disease biomarkers, patient responders and drug mechanism of action insights that can optimize prospective studies and de-risk drug development efforts," noted Jonathan Usuka, Chief Executive Officer at Sapient. "We truly believe our complete FFPE offering will be a game-changer for discovery, translational and clinical teams in oncology and beyond."
