Requirements
  • An associate degree and successful completion of a NAACLS-accredited medical laboratory technician program, or an associate degree with at least 60 academic credit hours including 6 hours of chemistry and 6 hours of biology plus successful completion of a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course, or an associate degree with at least 60 academic credit hours including 6 hours of chemistry and 6 hours of biology plus 3 years of full-time laboratory experience in an accredited laboratory within the last 10 years.
  • For Physician Enterprise, an associate degree in laboratory sciences, including chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory studies.
  • Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, or eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, or HEW; certification must be received within 180 days of hire.
  • For Physician Enterprise, Medical Laboratory Technician certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine to complex tests in the medical laboratory under general supervision across major areas of the clinical laboratory.
  • Provide valid and accurate laboratory data for use in diagnosing and treating disease.
  • Analyze test results and create reports of findings.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in an accredited laboratory is preferred.
