Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications, or a related field, preferred
  • 2-3 years of media or public relations communications experience, preferably with experience in large corporate or agency environment with tech clients
  • Strong communicator with demonstrated writing proficiency
  • Project management skills, including decision and judgment skills
  • Ability and comfort in meeting with senior managers and executives to discuss and plan company activities
  • Flexible and agile to respond to changing media and communications opportunities
  • National and local media contacts is a plus
  • High-energy self-starter with agility to adapt to frequent change and a half-glass-full approach to life
Responsibilities
  • Vet awards and oversee submission process
  • Research, develop, and draft copy for earned speaking opportunities
  • Write, coordinate, and edit engaging content for various internal communication channels, including email newsletters
  • Assist with internal and external events, including sponsorships, company all-hands, and sales event activations
  • Aid in the development, launch, planning and execution of company-focused public events and programming, as well as logistics and measurement
  • Create a wide variety of written material, staying informed and helping integrate new communication and digital trends
  • Manage PR editorial calendar
  • Assist in efforts to grow presence on third-party review sites and research firms
  • Develop and execute programs to communicate the company’s position on a broad range of topics
  • Participate in weekly calls with agency of record
  • Manage and vet media inquiries and interview requests
