At least 2 years of experience with flexible materials and the non-metallic converting industry.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Basic knowledge of Excel formulas is required.
Strong communication skills in spoken and written English are required.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees of varying education levels across multiple divisions.
Strong basic math skills are required.
Responsibilities
Analyze project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service needs.
Develop project cost estimates based on work scope, specifications, and contract proposals using applicable estimating methodologies and tools.
Manage sales opportunities from technical sales through the initial production process, including understanding customer requirements, supporting design changes, quoting custom requests, purchasing or designing tooling, creating the bill of materials, and evaluating or improving the production process.
Collaborate with customers and company resources to recommend machinery and tools for manufacturing products.
Read blueprints, understand project quality requirements and feasibility, and create red-line drawings for requested changes.
Use benchmark data, trends, prior estimates, and historical pricing schedules to generate detailed cost estimates with itemized expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations.
Design and purchase production tooling, create bills of materials to direct raw material purchases, and create routings to set up production processes.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide project updates.
Create Excel-based quotes using customer requirements, material characteristics, order size, and other applicable factors.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in estimating or quoting is preferred.
An associate or technical degree is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas is preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and requirements is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints is preferred.

Qualifications
2+ years of experience with flexible materials and the non-metallic converting industry
Experience in estimating or quoting preferred.
High School diploma or GED required, Associates/Technical degree preferred
Basic Excel knowledge of formulas required
Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English)
