About the job

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of selling technology or services to federal civilian agencies, including closed business the candidate can discuss.
  • A services or solutions sales background, having sold outcomes to an agency rather than only one product.
  • A working network across civilian agency program offices, chief information officers, and the integrator community.
  • Capture experience, including shaping requirements, working a contract vehicle, and winning competitive awards.
  • Ability to sell from day one while building the team as the pipeline grows.
  • Enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, including using AI tools to work faster and explaining their potential to federal buyers.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for government work.
Responsibilities
  • Set federal go-to-market strategy by selecting priority agencies and use cases.
  • Build pipeline ahead of requests for proposals by working with program offices, chief information officer organizations, and small business offices before requirements are written.
  • Run capture on priority pursuits, from shaping requests for information through meetings, demonstrations, and award.
  • Own contract vehicle strategy and decide which vehicles to pursue next.
  • Build relationships with resellers, prime contractors, and integrators where teaming can accelerate access.
  • Initially carry the federal pipeline personally, then hire and lead the first federal account executives as the pipeline grows.
  • Bring federal buyer needs around security, hosting, and authorization to product and platform teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience launching a federal business line at an early-stage company.
  • Experience selling through government-wide contract vehicles.
  • Experience with commercial solutions openings, other transaction authority, or Small Business Innovation Research awards.
  • An active security clearance.
