  • Strong financial modeling skills, including the ability to build deal economic models, scenario analyses, sensitivity analyses, and concession ledgers connecting commercial structure to economic outcome.
  • Working understanding of cloud and software-as-a-service commercial models, including pricing and packaging, billing and metering, revenue recognition, commercial contracting, and post-signature operations.

  • Translate the economic frame into an internal commercial recommendation supporting the account team's path to close while owning Snowflake-side economic and structuring work.
  • Lead pricing and commercial structuring across capacity, consumption, hybrid artificial intelligence, and multi-product deal structures.
  • Bring competitive benchmarks, willingness-to-pay context, and unit economics into structuring conversations for greenfield acquisitions and installed-base expansions.
  • Shape commercial strategy, sequencing, and the economic frame to help win acquisition deals at defensible terms and protect margin discipline on expansion deals.
  • Track concessions against tiered margin-dilution thresholds calibrated by deal-size band and escalate structural concessions regardless of size.
  • Gate signature on a passed readiness check.
  • Coordinate Revenue Accounting, Legal, Pricing, and executive leadership engagement across qualifying deals.
  • Run the cross-functional play so the account team can remain focused on the customer.
  • Coach account executives on package strategy, negotiation sequencing, and deal positioning.
  • Join customer conversations on qualifying deals with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Run every deal according to Strategic Engagements playbook standards, including financial controls, booking accuracy, revenue recognition, concession tracking, deal process discipline, CRM, contract management, billing, and legal compliance.
  • Use artificial intelligence-assisted workflows for deal-economics modeling, redline triage, stakeholder synthesis, recommendation drafting, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Feed lessons from closed deals into qualification criteria, commercial structuring patterns, the fallback library, and lifecycle artifacts.
  • Calibrate the playbook quarterly through Strategic Engagements postmortems.
  • Produce recommendation memos, daily deal update notes, and quarterly postmortem materials connecting deal status, commercial structure, key risks, and decisions to executive sponsors and the CFO when material.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience structuring deals at a high-growth cloud, data, artificial intelligence, or software-as-a-service company.
  • Familiarity with consumption-based and usage-based pricing in cloud, data, or artificial intelligence platforms.
  • Experience with competitive pricing analysis and willingness-to-pay research.
  • Familiarity with revenue accounting under ASC 606, SOX controls, and audit-ready process design.
  • SQL fluency or comfort working directly with commercial data in a cloud data platform.
  • An MBA or advanced degree.

Morgan Stanley raises Snowflake price target to $470 on AI-powered growth

Morgan Stanley analyst Sanjit Singh raised his price target on Snowflake to $470 from $300, maintaining an "Overweight" rating. The cloud data company is valued at $106 billion market cap, with shares trading at $356. The upgrade follows Snowflake's third consecutive quarter of accelerating revenue growth. Product revenue reached $1.49 billion, up 37% year over year, beating guidance and consensus estimates. The company added 692 net new customers, up 32% year over year, bringing its total to 14,554. Customers spending over $1 million annually increased 27% to 828. Singh attributed the momentum to an "AI-powered growth flywheel" driven by Snowflake's CoCo and CoWork tools. Management estimates AI products contributed roughly half of the quarter's growth acceleration.

Salesforce rises 2.75% to $264 as Snowflake's AI-driven revenue surge validates enterprise spending

Salesforce shares rose 2.75% to $264 on Thursday following Snowflake's strong quarterly results. The cloud-data company reported 37% growth in product revenue, with artificial intelligence driving roughly half of the acceleration. Salesforce's second-quarter revenue increased 11% to $11.3 billion. Current remaining performance obligations climbed 14% to $33.5 billion. The company's Agentforce and Data 360 products generated nearly $3.9 billion in annual recurring revenue, including more than $1.5 billion from Agentforce. At $264, Salesforce trades 22% below its estimated fair value of $339. The combined AI and data run rate represents approximately 8.6% of annualised quarterly revenue. Snowflake's performance suggests enterprise AI spending is materialising, though Salesforce must demonstrate it can capture similar budgets.

Cantor raises Snowflake price target to $405 but expects narrower beat than Q1

Cantor Fitzgerald raised Snowflake's price target to $405 from $282 whilst maintaining an Overweight rating ahead of the company's fiscal Q2 2027 earnings on 2 September. However, analyst Thomas Blakey expects a narrower beat than last quarter. Snowflake's fiscal Q1 2027 showed product revenue up 34% year-over-year to $1.3 billion, with net revenue retention reaching 126%. AI capabilities were used by more than 13,600 accounts, whilst Cortex Code had around 7,100 accounts. Cantor projects product revenue will beat guidance by 3%, compared to last quarter's 5.5% beat. The concern is whether incremental AI consumption can offset cost optimisations as customers consolidate spending.
