Requirements
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Six (6) months nursing experience in Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory or current participation in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit
Responsibilities
  • Provide care for critically ill newborns, infants and their families across the continuum of care, from admission to discharge
  • Care for infants requiring the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including a wide variety of medical and surgical complexities
  • Work in a 26-bed NICU that is a model for patient- and family-centered care
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred
  • Relevant certification Preferred
