About the company

Dolese produces ready mixed concrete, crushed stone and sand for homeowners, builders and industrial contractors across the south-central United States. Its materials go into roads and bridges as well as houses, commercial developments and large industrial projects. The company sells construction materials through its quarry and concrete-plant network, with a masonry supply warehouse carrying manufactured stone and other building supplies. What believers are saying

  • Dolese shares company results with workers: employees become partial owners.
  • Dolese's full-time Production Tech opening in Davis teaches plant systems: supervised training covers crushing, screening and conveying.
  • Dolese equips technicians for field repairs: MaintainX puts equipment readings, manuals and work history on their phones.

What critics are saying

  • Dolese's mines require long-term planning: quarry and sand-plant permits include restoration plans for the land after extraction.
  • Dolese's Big Canyon equipment operators face overnight hours: advertised shifts run 5:30pm-6:30am, subject to change.
  • Dolese's Davis production-tech role is physically demanding: frequent 50-pound lifts, confined spaces and elevated work are required.

What makes Dolese unique

  • Dolese links its stock to engineering education: three university foundations receive buybacks when the company is profitable.
  • Dolese avoids diesel-powered sand dredges: its sand plants run every dredge on electricity.
  • Dolese tests aggregates twice: quarry labs check production, while its central lab tests stone and concrete performance.
