Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
- At the mid level, at least 3 years of cloud computing experience, 1 year of Google Cloud Platform experience, and 1 year of experience with one or more programming languages such as Python are required.
- At the senior level, at least 8 years of cloud computing experience, 3 years of Google Cloud Platform experience, and 5 years of experience with one or more programming languages such as Python are required.
- A strong understanding of Google Cloud services and technologies is required.
- Experience leading technical teams, including delegating tasks, reviewing designs and completed tasks by team members, and coaching junior team members, is required.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions is required.
- Experience developing technical architecture documents, driving design decisions, developing documentation artifacts, and presenting technical solutions to clients and executive-level leaders is required.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform is required.
- A strong understanding of DevOps practices and experience implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery in cloud environments are required.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.
- At least one Google Cloud Professional Certification is required at the senior level.
Responsibilities
- Drive and implement technology solutions on Google Cloud.
- Work with customers, partners, and internal project team members to understand customer business requirements and translate them into actionable engineering tasks.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform.
- Configure and manage Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
- Architect and implement security best practices for Google Cloud Platform solutions using products such as Assured Workloads, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Security Command Center.
- Stay up to date on the latest Google Cloud Platform services and technologies and their applicability to the public sector.
Desired Qualifications
- At the mid level, at least one Google Cloud Professional Certification is preferred.
- Experience working within Agile teams is preferred.
- Experience working with Google Cloud compliance products such as Security Command Center and Assured Workloads is preferred.
- Experience working with customers in the U.S. public sector is preferred.
- Experience with Department of Defense and Defense Information Systems Agency cybersecurity policies is preferred.
