Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Zero to two years of modality-specific work experience.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or obtaining it within one year in the position.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or an American Red Cross CPR/AED equivalent.
  • Ability to perform the listed physical functions, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and assisted patient movement up to approximately 350 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain required corrected vision, hearing, peripheral vision, depth perception, tactile sensory, olfactory sensory, gross motor, and fine motor functions.
  • Ability to be medically qualified for respirator use initially and annually.
  • Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to learn and use new processes, tools, and equipment as required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations on patients across all age groups.
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • Use available magnetic resonance imaging resources, protocols, and technology to provide accurate and timely imaging services.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
  • Follow established safety standards, infection control practices, and magnetic resonance imaging-specific protocols.
  • Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to their needs and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care.
  • Care for, maintain, and perform quality control of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and organizational policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
