Requirements
  • At least three years of experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Experience in a customer-facing commercial role such as account management, customer success, sales or marketing, with demonstrable exposure to business development and/or sales.
  • A good understanding of the Irish healthcare system.
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical regulation in Ireland.
  • Experience working with digital platforms, technology or data-driven tools.
  • Commercial confidence and the ability to identify, develop and convert commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead customer onboarding, demonstrations and training.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Help customers maximise the value they get from the platform.
  • Monitor customer engagement and identify where additional support may be needed.
  • Lead renewal conversations and help strengthen customer retention.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce customers to additional services and solutions and develop these into commercial opportunities.
  • Identify and engage prospective customers and stakeholders, build relationships and convert qualified opportunities into new business.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations, lead or support commercial discussions and negotiations, and help bring opportunities to a successful close.
  • Bring ideas forward about where medicines.ie could grow next.
  • Participate in industry events and deliver customer webinars.
  • Work with colleagues on campaigns, customer case studies and new business propositions.
  • Use industry networks and events to build relationships and identify potential new business opportunities.
  • Understand customer, end-user and stakeholder needs, what is working, what could work better, and future opportunities.
  • Translate customer, end-user and stakeholder feedback into improvements to the platform, services and future offering.
  • Travel within Ireland, including Dublin, for customer meetings, company meetings, conferences and industry events.

Ataraxis AI raises $20M to predict cancer outcomes and reduce unnecessary chemotherapy

Ataraxis AI has raised $20.4 million in a Series A round led by AIX Ventures to commercialise its cancer treatment prediction technology. Thiel Bio, Founders Fund, Floating Point, Bertelsmann, Giant Ventures and Obvious Ventures also participated. The company previously raised $4 million in seed funding. The startup analyses high-resolution images of cancer cells using AI trained on hundreds of millions of images from thousands of patients. Bertelsmann reports $1.1B profit and $21.3B revenue for 2025, maintains $26.9B growth target

German media giant Bertelsmann reported €1 billion profit for 2025, unchanged from the previous year, with revenue stable at €19 billion. Chief executive Thomas Rabe described it as a "solid financial year" for the company, which owns RTL Group, Penguin Random House and BMG music label.
