Requirements
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance are required.
Candidates must meet Department of Defense 8140/8570 IAT II requirements, such as Security+ CE, at the start.
Five to seven years of hands-on systems or network administration experience in enterprise or Department of Defense environments is required.
Demonstrated expertise with Windows Server and Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V, backup and restore, endpoint and configuration management, and ticketing systems is required.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, Security Technical Implementation Guides, Risk Management Framework touchpoints, and PowerShell scripting is expected.
Strong customer service, written and oral communication, and leadership skills are required, as is the ability to organize workload, document procedures, and support occasional after-hours maintenance.
Responsibilities
Direct daily operations, assign work, and ensure service levels are met across tickets, incidents, and requests.
Oversee workstation and server administration, account and device provisioning, patching and compliance, backup and recovery, and change coordination with base communications and enterprise network partners.
Maintain standard operating procedures and runbooks, track asset and license records, deliver status updates to the Program Manager and Contracting Officer's Representative, and manage the on-call rotation.
Mentor technicians, validate security and control adherence in collaboration with Information Systems Security Officer and Information Systems Security Engineer functions, and ensure coverage during leave and surge.
