Requirements
  • A college diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in benefits, insurance, customer service, client/member support, administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of group benefits, health and wellness programs, or insurance is an asset.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are required, including the ability to manage multiple inquiries, priorities, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work effectively with internal teams, partners, and campus stakeholders is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are required, including the ability to resolve inquiries independently and escalate complex issues when appropriate.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to member non-claim inquiries through walk-in, phone, email/case, and chat channels, and resolve issues within service-level agreements.
  • Educate members about insurance, wellness, preferred providers, and other programs offered.
  • Educate members about enrollment, registration, and claims processes.
  • Support members with insurance- or wellness-related access or claim processes.
  • Accurately document interactions in customer relationship management systems.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Campus Support Coordinator or appropriate department.
  • Participate in training and calibration sessions to maintain service quality.
  • Participate in events to promote awareness and engagement with benefit programs.
  • Respond to inquiries about claims status and coverage.
  • Use appropriate technologies, including contact center solutions, customer relationship management systems, internal team communication tools, office applications, project tools, and ticketing systems.
