Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience is required.
  • Significant leadership experience in risk, supervision, service, and/or business controls within a complex field organization is required.
  • Active registrations consistent with senior leadership expectations, such as Series 7 and applicable supervisory or principal registrations, with Series 63, 65, or 66 as applicable, are required.
  • Proven ability to lead managers and execute through multiple layers.
  • Strong knowledge of supervisory practices, risk and controls, and regulatory expectations, with strong judgment and escalation discipline.
  • Strong change-management capability, including the ability to modernize operating models and improve efficiency using technology, AI, and automation where appropriate.
  • Ability to influence senior partners and lead large, geographically dispersed organizations.
  • Ability to travel within the region and to corporate offices as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Market's integrated risk and service organization, set priorities, and deliver consistent outcomes across the Market.
  • Directly lead and develop Risk Officers, Business Service Officers, and Service Managers while reinforcing accountability, coaching, and performance expectations.
  • Establish and maintain a client-first service and guardianship culture and reinforce consistent behaviors and standards.
  • Ensure appropriate supervisory coverage and support effective supervisory planning within the Market, escalating needs and risks appropriately.
  • Simplify and standardize Market operating routines to reduce friction for field teams and clients through clear roles, consistent workflows, and fewer handoffs.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve efficiency and quality, including eliminating duplicative steps, improving queue management, and automating repeatable tasks.
  • Support responsible use of AI-enabled capabilities to improve triage, documentation quality, exception management, and insight generation while following controls, approvals, and governance.
  • Oversee execution of supervisory and risk routines, including conduct, sales-practice, operational, and supervisory risk, and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Drive control discipline and documentation standards and reinforce audit-ready practices in daily execution.
  • Partner with the Market Executive to manage and resolve escalated risk issues and serve as a key partner to the Special Investigations Unit and Human Resources.
  • Present the status of risk matters to senior Risk Governance committees and senior risk stakeholders.
  • Manage and track defined budgets, including compensation and travel and entertainment expenses.
  • Lead Market readiness for audits, examinations, and branch reviews and partner with regional and central teams on issue management, remediation, and sustainment.
  • Serve as a key partner to Market leadership to align priorities, resolve issues, and continuously improve the client and employee experience.
  • Cascade regional and national policy changes, priorities, and best practices and ensure adoption and consistent execution.
  • Build relationships with Human Resources and key partners to support talent development, headcount needs, and performance management.
  • Maintain a disciplined management cadence involving metrics, issue logs, and operational reviews to drive performance and continuous improvement.
  • Support approvals and escalations as required and apply sound judgment with appropriate risk and control considerations.

Fortis prices $1B subordinated notes due 2057 with 6.625% and 6.875% coupons to refinance debt

Fortis Inc. announced on 9 September 2026 the pricing of a $1 billion public offering of junior subordinated notes maturing 30 March 2057. The issuance comprises two $500 million tranches with coupon rates of 6.625% and 6.875%. The St. John's, Newfoundland-based regulated electric and gas utility holding company plans to use net proceeds to repay maturing debt and support general corporate purposes. Closing is expected on 21 September 2026. The firm commitment offering is managed by a syndicate including Morgan Stanley, MUFG Securities Americas, Wells Fargo Securities, and BofA Securities as joint bookrunners. Fortis reported $12 billion in revenues in 2025 and held $79 billion in total assets as of 30 June 2026.

Ameren prices $900M junior subordinated notes offering due 2057

Ameren Corporation announced the pricing of a public offering of $900 million in junior subordinated notes due 2057 at 100% of their principal amount. The transaction is expected to close on 18 September 2026. The notes will bear interest at an annual rate of 6.45% from issuance until 15 March 2032. After that date, the rate will reset every five years based on the Five-Year Treasury Rate plus 1.868%, with a floor of 6.45%. Ameren intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including repaying short-term debt. Barclays Capital, BofA Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley, MUFG Securities Americas, Truist Securities, PNC Capital Markets, and Scotia Capital are joint book-running managers for the offering.
