Responsibilities
Answer phones and respond to inquiries from patients, vendors, insurance companies, and other medical facilities, handling 100–200 incoming calls per day.
Apply scheduling practices and policies across several medical-center departments.
Reschedule patient appointments by telephone and through written notifications to patients.
Screen and route patient calls to the appropriate departments while ensuring accurate registration, appointment scheduling, and follow-up appointment scheduling in the database.
Take clear and accurate messages on behalf of other departments.
Respond to patient questions and needs by editing, canceling, and rescheduling appointments according to clinic protocols.
Review physician schedules regularly to maximize capacity and verify correct scheduling.
Fax medical records to facilities authorized to receive patient information.
Maintain effective working relationships and communication within the department and with other departments for the benefit of patients.
Inform callers of CJMC policies regarding timely arrival, required appointment documentation, and cancellation or no-show procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Call Center Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service to patients, vendors, insurance companies and other medical facilities. Position requires excellent telephone communication skills, and a high level of skill in entering data into the computer while talking with patients. Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent required
Bilingual Spanish Speaker is required
