Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited technologist training program.
  • ARRT (MR) certification.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • A minimum of two years of proven clinical experience in MRI imaging in a Level 1 hospital setting.
  • Proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above the shoulders during the work shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to carry up to 40 pounds a reasonable distance.
  • Ability to push or pull with 30 pounds of force.
Responsibilities
  • Provide MRI care covering the range of services provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility, at a standard of care that equals or exceeds VA standards and The Joint Commission standards.
  • Adhere to the ARRT Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards in the science of radiology to improve the quality of services to VA patients.
  • Promote the safe and effective use of diagnostic radiology through specific training, skills, and techniques.
  • Perform organ-specific and subspecialty-specific imaging, including gastrointestinal abdomen, genitourinary abdomen, breast imaging, pelvis, neuroradiology imaging, cardiovascular and extremity imaging, and musculoskeletal imaging.
  • Perform related administrative tasks.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior work experience with the GE 1.5T, GE 3.0T, and Siemens MAGNETOM SKYRA within the past 24 months is preferred.
  • Prior VA experience is desirable.
