Man Group, Grafton and Big Yellow: UK dividend stocks yielding over 3%

With the US Federal Reserve holding rates steady and signalling tight policy to contain inflation, income stocks are drawing UK investors' attention. A Simply Wall St dividend screen picked three UK stocks yielding more than 3%. Man Group, valued at about £3.5 billion, is a global asset manager that earns fees from long only and alternative funds. Its net management fee margin fell from 63 bps at the end of 2024 to 52 bps at the end of 2025, which could dilute revenue yield. Grafton Group, a £1.9 billion building materials distributor, is expanding into the Spanish HVAC market through the acquisition of Salvador Escoda. It plans to open 50-plus new branches over time. Big Yellow Group runs 115 self storage sites across the UK. It has a 5.13% yield and a market cap of about £1.8 billion, though payout cover needs watching.

Three UK dividend stocks to own in October 2026: DCC, Man Group, Big Yellow

Simply Wall St has picked three UK dividend stocks for October 2026, each aiming for payouts of 3% or more. The Bank of Japan's hints at higher interest rates make income from cash and bonds look less certain. DCC Energy (LSE:DCC), valued at £5.5 billion, distributes fuel and energy worldwide. It earns about £13.0 billion from Energy and £2.5 billion from Technology, and plans to focus solely on Energy after selling DCC Healthcare and exiting Info Tech. Man Group (LSE:EMG), worth £3.8 billion, is an investment manager with about $1.7 billion in revenue, mostly from management and performance fees. It reported record net inflows of $17.6 billion in the first half of 2025. Big Yellow Group, valued at £1.8 billion, runs 115 UK self storage sites and earns about £209 million. Its yield is 5.23%, though free cash flow coverage is tight.

Man Group and Capital Group open Abu Dhabi offices amid Iran conflict

Man Group, the world's largest listed hedge fund manager, is opening an office in Abu Dhabi for distribution, investment and trading. Capital Group announced it would establish its first Gulf office in the Abu Dhabi Global Market later this year. Chris Rokos' Rokos Capital Management also confirmed plans to open in Abu Dhabi last week. The moves demonstrate that major financial firms remain committed to the UAE's financial centres despite regional tensions, with the country being a primary target of Iranian drones and missiles. The expansion underscores continued investor confidence in the UAE as a key operational hub for international finance companies.
