Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain Department of Homeland Security suitability prior to starting employment.
  • Must have 5+ years of directly relevant experience in system administration.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and macOS.
  • Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration.
  • Experience with virtual private networks.
  • Experience with virtual desktops such as Citrix and VMware.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering or a related degree; alternatively, a high school diploma and 7+ years of lab management or systems administration experience.
Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced analytical skills and technical resources at tactical levels and implement infrastructure solutions supporting command decision-making and mission requirements.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
  • Assess network topology and device configurations, identify critical security concerns, and provide security best-practice recommendations.
  • Advise and provide insight on the development of lab standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Provide support for virtual private networks or virtual desktop infrastructure, such as Citrix, to users.
  • Provide support for macOS and iOS to users.
  • Provide troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues.
  • Monitor and respond to users on IT helpdesk channels and phone lines.
  • Assist in managing user accounts and resetting credentials.
  • Implement granular access control; monitor systems for acceptable performance, user accessibility, and security; establish backups; and monitor systems security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex enterprise storage problems related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks.
  • Monitor channels for storage-related network and system issues and remediate them as they occur.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with security information and event management systems, including ELK and Splunk.
  • Experience with virtualization automation and optimization.
  • Experience working with Jamf Pro, Device Enrollment Program, and Enterprise Connect implementation.
  • Experience writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker, Security+, Network+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.
