Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited traditional 4-year college/university (minimum GPA: 3.0), preferably in accounting, mathematics or business
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • High comfort and fluency with computers and technology and understanding how technology is applied to business
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (MS Access and VBA experience is a plus)
  • Monitoring the Group's settlement ledgers and testing, operating and enhancing the Group's proprietary back-office systems
  • Analysis, escalation and resolution of settlement differences
  • Interface seamlessly with various internal departments, counterparties and clearing organizations
  • Focus on automated solutions to complex problems
  • Daily reconciliation of proprietary and client settlements to the cash activity reported through the Group's external clearing banks and recorded to the General Ledger
  • Investigation of all reconciling items and close interaction with the Group's clearing, corporate actions, and accounting departments to resolve them
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of outstanding differences
  • Dividend reconciliation from the General Ledger to our internal dividend system
  • Support various audit requests to ensure the Group's compliance with securities and financial regulations
  • Operate the Group's proprietary Trade Settlement Reconciliation system
  • Constantly evaluate systems and processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
