West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek General Internal Medicine physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
This position will focus primarily on academic inpatient internal medicine with a small outpatient component. At WVU, you will collaborate with a team of over 25 outstanding and experienced internists. All subspecialties are present and available for consultation within the clinic and hospital. Opportunities also exist in clinical research. Physicians with a special interest in global health would have an opportunity to participate in our rapidly expanding global health residency track.
Duties: In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program.
