Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree and 2 to 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a university, performing arts center, or multi-venue environment.
  • Working knowledge of Vectorworks, Lightwright, and QLab.
  • Experience with ETC Eos Family lighting consoles.
  • Proficiency in audiovisual setup and operation.
  • Experience working within a matrix management structure.
  • Familiarity with budget tracking, cost estimation, and expense reconciliation in a performing arts context.
  • Knowledge of IATSE or other union labor agreements.
Responsibilities
  • Advance performances and events with artists, clients, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate event details with the Penn Live Arts operations team.
  • Manage vendors and third-party resources.
  • Place labor requests and assign staff schedules according to event needs, adjusting schedules as necessary.
  • Provide on-site supervision for production staff and assistant managers.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for team performance, productivity, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Communicate event-related and operations information to the internal Penn Live Arts team, clients, students, and visiting artists through designated channels and platforms.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for facilities during assigned events and relay facilities issues to appropriate parties for resolution.
  • Prepare, submit, and/or approve timesheets for event coverage.
  • Recap and reconcile expenses for budget tracking.
  • Manage venue and support-space calendars.
  • Participate in operations team meetings.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
