What believers are saying

  • Hammes closed $445 million for its core-plus healthcare fund in 2025.
  • Moffitt SouthShore opened January 2025, and SPEROS milestones continued through April 2025.
  • New 2026 projects in Miami, Scottsdale, and Birmingham show accelerating national demand.

What critics are saying

  • Healthcare construction depends on provider capital; delayed systems programs can freeze Hammes' pipeline by 2027.
  • Hammes' portfolio concentration in Florida and regional hospitals ties revenue to single-provider execution.
  • Any Moffitt SPEROS or Wellstar delay would hit reputation and future award-winning mandates.

What makes Hammes unique

  • Hammes ranked No. 1 developer in Modern Healthcare's 2026 survey.
  • Hammes combines development, investment, and management across outpatient healthcare real estate.
  • Hammes converts vacant medical assets fast, like River Prairie's 2025 adaptive reuse.
