StockStory flags Crown Holdings for rising input costs squeezing margins despite revenue growth

StockStory has flagged Crown Holdings as a company to avoid, citing limited growth potential, slower earnings growth than peers and pressure from high input costs affecting gross margins. The critique questions whether Crown's scale and cost structure now constrain rather than support its competitiveness. Crown's Q1 2026 results illustrate these concerns: revenue rose to $3.26 billion from $2.89 billion year-on-year, whilst net income fell to $175 million from $193 million and earnings per share slipped to $1.56 from $1.65. The mixed results highlight how input costs and competitive pressures are affecting profitability. The company's narrative projects $13.5 billion revenue and $899.4 million earnings by 2029, requiring 2.9% yearly revenue growth. Community fair value estimates range from $126 to $195 per share.
