Software Engineer

A Software Engineer at Secoda will contribute to our customers' experience using Secoda and the overall success of the company. You'll collaborate closely with design, product management, and engineering to shape our product experience, and influence our product roadmap. What you will be doing:

• Build AI-powered features that help answer data questions or automate tasks.

• Develop data integrations to data warehouses, BI tools, and databases, and others that sync metadata and build the lineage graph.

• Create governance tools such as data quality monitoring, business glossary management, and compliance tracking that integrate into teams' existing processes.

• Optimize data processing at scale including performance of search, lineage tracking, and metadata ingestion to handle enterprise-scale data.

• Design cross-platform experiences on web applications, browser extensions, and API integrations that bring data discovery into users' daily workflows.

Who you are:

• Curious and understand the core technologies in our stack: React (TypeScript), Python (Django), Postgres, Elasticsearch, and AWS

• Autonomous in figuring out the solutions to challenges

• Care about users and craft a great product experience

• Curious and willing to learn something you don’t have experience in

• Uphold an unreasonable quality bar in engineering, security, and design

• Value clear and frequent communication

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

• Building integrations for Modern Data Stack tools, i.e, Snowflake, Looker, dbt

Hybrid Office Policy

We have a beautiful office in Liberty Village and work in a Hybrid schedule with Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday as our in-office days. We provide lunch for our team every other Friday. 

We believe time together in person is valuable and important. We host ample social opportunities and encourage employees to attend team off-sites and events (dinners and game nights) as well as a yearly 4-day retreat.
