About the job

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience building production-grade web applications.
  • Strong expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript and React.
  • Deep understanding of React and frontend architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • A track record of designing scalable backend systems.
  • A history of making architectural decisions that stood the test of time.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement full-stack features that blend elegant user experience with robust backend systems.
  • Architect scalable solutions across the entire technology stack, including React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Shape technical direction by making architecture and infrastructure decisions.
  • Build and optimize cloud-native systems using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Mentor and uplift other engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Own mission-critical surfaces end-to-end, from application programming interface (API) to user interface (UI), that lawyers use daily to review, draft, and advise.
  • Turn customer feedback into shippable specifications and ship quickly while improving quality and reducing lead time for change.
  • Improve reliability through observability, testing, and fallbacks so complex artificial intelligence features behave predictably in high-stakes moments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with modern object-relational mappers (ORMs), such as Drizzle or Prisma, and API design.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • A background in building secure, compliant systems.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and large language model (AI/LLM) integrations.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers.
  • Understanding of legal technology or business-to-business software as a service (B2B SaaS).
