Requirements
  • Must have basic knowledge of building maintenance fields and a minimum of one year in a similar position or equivalent experience, including use of hand tools and other tools to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Must have experience with basic diagnostic devices and general mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, kitchen, and carpentry knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot in these areas.
  • Must be flexible with work days and hours.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for at least 90% of a normal eight-hour work shift.
  • Must be able to frequently carry, lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Must have close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to high noise levels.
Responsibilities
  • Assist other engineering personnel with routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Respond to guest requests to ensure their personal comfort.
  • Perform general maintenance in guestrooms and public areas while monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Prepare for daily work assignments and review priorities and special projects.
  • Maintain appropriate time management and use equipment properly.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the property, guests, and fellow associates.
  • Complete assigned work orders and assist with maintenance and repairs throughout the property, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks.

CoralTree Hospitality appoints new CTO.

CoralTree Hospitality appoints new CTO. CoralTree Hospitality has appointed Jeff Knowlton as chief technology officer to lead the company's enterprise technology strategy, digital innovation and systems optimization across its portfolio. Knowlton brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and technology leadership, digital transformation, guest-facing platform enhancement and operational system modernization to his new role. He will oversee CoralTree's technology roadmap, focusing on improving guest experience, operational efficiency and scalable infrastructure to support the company's expansion. "Jeff's deep expertise at the intersection of hospitality and technology makes him an exceptional addition to our leadership team," said Tom Luersen, president of CoralTree Hospitality. "As we continue to grow, his vision and leadership will be instrumental in delivering innovative, seamless, and data-driven guest experiences across our portfolio." Before joining CoralTree Hospitality, Knowlton most recently served as chief information officer at Peregrine Hospitality. Prior to that, he served in the same role at Sonesta Hotels International. Knowlton also held technology roles with the Pursuit Collection, Sage Hospitality and Vail Resorts. "I'm thrilled to join CoralTree Hospitality at such an exciting time in its growth," said Knowlton.
