  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable experience is required.
  • Computer literacy and telephone experience are required.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer calls, faxes, and emails.
  • Generate and follow up on quotes for all products.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers.
  • Process sales orders.
  • Enter return orders, credits, and debits when required.
  • Enter scrap return orders as requested by distribution channels.
  • Implement stocking programs using X-part numbers and/or scheduling agreements when necessary.
  • Assist Outside Sales in obtaining forecasts for customers with implemented stocking programs.
  • Implement and maintain firm metal agreements accurately, track customer-used units regularly, and provide customers with updates.
  • Determine and implement the appropriate contract type based on the specific business, working collaboratively with Outside Sales.
  • Manage customer-specific inventories and report concerns to purchasing or management.
  • Resolve customer service issues.
  • Increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures.
  • Communicate with personnel while working in a team environment.
  • Travel as needed to meet company goals.
  • Monitor competitor products and prices.
  • Assist with quality-related duties when required.

  • Interpersonal skills to sell, negotiate, and close business with customers.
  • Attention to detail to evaluate customer accounts and orders.
  • Basic computer skills to assemble and process orders and information efficiently.
  • Effective communication and listening skills when answering customer calls and interacting with peers.
  • Knowledge of the products sold by the business unit.
