Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and insurability to drive are required.
  • Maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Complete Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Use the computer system efficiently.
  • Read, write, and perform math skills.
  • Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including possible weekends and evenings.
  • Have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • Communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds; frequently standing, walking, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, reaching, talking, and hearing; and occasionally sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, competent customer service.
  • Coordinate the service center's scheduling and workflow.
  • Write service orders for the location, including creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following cash-handling policies, ordering parts, and collecting payment for jobs.
  • Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult technicians as needed.
  • Apply marketing and sales strategies to finalize transactions.
  • Consult technicians about needed repairs and communicate those needs to customers.
  • Increase knowledge of products and services to understand industry needs.
  • Understand customer needs and communicate them to technicians, and communicate technicians' information to customers.
  • Keep all customer-facing items clean, stocked, and up to date.
  • Receive merchandise, stock it, and update pricing for showroom products.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
  • Assign work to technicians within company guidelines.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures to help ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Report to work on time when scheduled.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

  • Retail or guest service experience is preferred.
