Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Ideally, have at least 3 years of experience as an inspector or equivalent in the oil and gas industry.
  • Hold a valid driver's license in good standing and be able to travel up to 75% of the time, including long-distance driving between job sites and overnight stays.
  • Have a strong understanding of pipeline, tank, and terminal regulations and best practices.
  • Be familiar with coatings, hydrostatic testing, non-destructive examinations, and welding procedures.
  • Have advanced safety knowledge, particularly related to excavation and shoring.
  • Be proficient with computers and smart tablets.
  • Have abilities in planning, situational awareness, attention to detail, and customer service.
  • Consistently adhere to policies and procedures and demonstrate the company's core values while completing work assignments.
  • Maintain required HAZWOPER and Incident Command System certifications and be prepared to support emergency response when needed.
  • Maintain Operator Qualification credentials.
  • Pass applicable Department of Transportation covered-job drug and alcohol testing requirements.
  • Undergo continuous motor vehicle record monitoring because the role involves driving for company business.
Responsibilities
  • Enforce Safety Awareness Manual requirements, Life Safety Rules, and hazard mitigation practices.
  • Identify, report, and help prevent near misses.
  • Provide oversight for assigned pipeline, facility, and tank projects with minimal supervision, ensuring quality and compliance throughout.
  • Uphold company and regulatory requirements and complete required training.
  • Complete project and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
  • Verify proper calibration of tools and ensure materials align with engineering standards.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with proactive, clear communication on progress, issues, and updates.
  • Be prepared to support emergency response when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ideally, have at least 5 years of experience as an inspector.
  • Hold 24-hour HAZWOPER and OSHA 30 certifications.
  • Have Excavation Competent Person training and certification.
  • Be certified in CPWI, API, AMPP/NACE, and/or PMI.
