Ibotta is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Release Tools to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As part of the Release Tools team, you will work on the infrastructure as code that powers our systems that are used by millions of consumers. We’re looking for a self-motivated engineer who has a passion for building and scaling infrastructure leveraging technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, Terraform, and IaC tooling. Every engineer has input into our product process and will have a real impact as part of a small, nimble team.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:
Work within the Release Tools and with other infrastructure teams to drive engineering productivity and empowerment in a large cloud infrastructure using AWS (such as Lambdas and CodeDeploy) and Kubernetes technologies
Build and support automation tooling for testing, provisioning, monitoring and deployment of Ibotta services
Help build patterns (paved roads) that empower engineering teams to run fast and easy. Relentlessly seek to eliminate friction and toil in the product development lifecycle
Write high quality code and perform pull request reviews to ensure that we’re shipping reliable, readable, and reusable solutions
Ensure that security is a first-class citizen across the infrastructure
Ship production code on a frequent and consistent basis
Assist with documentation, training, and communication surrounding the tools the team develops

Here is what we’re looking for:
4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure-related development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or a related field required
Experience building tools/applications/features that empower other engineers to build software products, ideally with a focus on CI/CD enhancements and functionality
A passion for eliminating friction from the product development process
Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as CodeDeploy, Terraform, CloudFormation, CLI, etc.
Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Python, Ruby, Go, Javascript, PHP, etc.
Experience with shell scripting, such as bash/zsh/etc.
Experience with AWS serverless components
Experience automating tasks for internal or external applications
Working knowledge of source control systems including Git
Nice to have:
Knowledge of IaC software design and architecture principles
Experience with Node.js, Python, Blazemeter
Automation and templating of security-related infrastructure

Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.
Base compensation range: $125,000-$144,000. Equity is included in the overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
