Environmental Compliance Lead
About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or a related discipline is required.
- Three to five years of experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position is required.
- Knowledge of environmental reporting systems and regulations is required.
- Experience coordinating Health & Safety training and workplace safety programs is required.
- Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies, consultants, and third-party compliance providers is required.
- Own and coordinate environmental compliance programs, primarily covering packaging, electronics and battery recycling, waste management, and Extended Producer Responsibility requirements.
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation and coordinate implementation of new compliance requirements across the business.
- Coordinate environmental registrations, reporting, declarations, and regulatory submissions with external compliance providers and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain environmental compliance records, certifications, registrations, and supporting documentation.
- Support sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, recycling, and environmentally responsible business practices.
- Coordinate selected Health & Safety activities, including employee training, workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Coordinate EHS-related purchase orders and invoices with the Finance team.
- Drive continuous improvement of environmental compliance and workplace safety processes and support other related initiatives as needed.
