Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services to help us serve millions of users daily
- Work closely with the product team to launch new features
- Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure on GCP using Docker and Terraform
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to design and implement RESTful APIs and shared API client libraries
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems
Requirements
- You consider yourself a Pythonista and stay at the forefront of Python tooling such as uv, ruff, mypy, etc.
- You have equivalent project or work experience in scaffolding backend services in Python
- You are knowledgeable in PostgreSQL systems and are familiar with tooling in the Postgres ecosystem, such as PGBouncer or PGVector
- You are familiar with Public Cloud services, specifically GCP
- You understand the OpenAPI specification well and can implement it effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical teams
- You have equivalent project or work experience in Generative AI projects and have a general understanding of agentic systems and frameworks
Desirable
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Contributions to open-source projects (we publish and maintain our own libraries)
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and integration
- You have experience with Node.js and Typescript
