Our Premium Products and Experiences (PPX) business drives the strategy behind spectacularly rewarding and seamless experiences for our premium customers, including the award winning Venture X credit card. PPX Risk Manager play a key role in helping the PPX business deliver on their goals. In this role, you will provide professional risk judgment that enables PPX business partners to tackle major business challenges. These are often complex initiatives requiring autonomous problem-solving, including engaging SME stakeholders and researching solutions independently. You will also influence and support well-managed business process excellence to ensure PPX delivers on promises we make to our customers, including identifying and improving the control environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, products, services, and risk profile
Advise and consult with business teams to develop well-designed products, features, experiences, and supporting technologies in alignment with risk management policies and practices
Support business partners to drive risk/return trade-off decisions and recommend necessary control and/or monitoring activities
Analyze and synthesize data and reporting to proactively identify risks and trends and provide valuable insights that support decision-making
Ensure independent escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and concerns to senior business and risk leaders, including emerging risks and regulatory focus areas
Identify, understand, and assess the impact of the changing regulatory environment on business objectives and risk appetite through the use of Enterprise Risk Assessments
Assess controls, and glean insights from issues and events across business areas
Drive containment and remediation of process breakdowns in collaboration with compliance, legal, and business process teams
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline risk management practices
Provide support to PPX business during audits and regulatory exams; support delivery of key risk mitigation and remediation activities

Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of financial services compliance experience, or at least 3 years of Risk Management experience, or at least 3 years of Card Services experience
At least 2 years of Project Management experience
At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
2+ years experience working in an Agile environment
Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management certification
PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)
