Requirements

Completion of an LPN diploma program is required.
Must hold a valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Must hold a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Must be certified to administer medications.
No prior job-related work experience is required.
Must have basic computer knowledge.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Administer patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Collaborate as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities.
Contribute to the implementation of patient care.
Maintain compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and significant others.
Multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.

Desired Qualifications

IV certification is preferred.

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
Education: LPN Diploma Program required
Licensure/Certification/Registration1:
 Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
 Current AHA BLS certification
 Certified to administer medications
 Preferred: IV Certification
Experience: No prior job-related work experience required
Knowledge/Skills:
 Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
