Requirements
  • Five to ten or more years of waste or environmental compliance experience.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science or Engineering.
  • HAZWOPER qualification.
  • Experience with regulatory interpretation and data quality assurance and quality control.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio are also identified as relevant business tools.
  • Ability to work predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork when required.
Responsibilities
  • Support Resource Conservation and Recovery Act compliance, monitor waste management practices, prepare reports, and coordinate with regulators.
  • Evaluate compliance with waste management guidelines and support safety documentation.
  • Conduct regulatory inspections and interact with stakeholders to support effective waste management practices.
  • Conduct independent evaluations, oversee operations and safety, manage risks, and prepare detailed reports for Hanford cleanup and waste programs.
  • Compile regulator-ready compliance packages.
  • Provide program and project management support for daily business activities and program support initiatives.
  • Support regulatory compliance, engineering consulting, waste management, and groundwater remediation functions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Department of Energy is preferred.
