  • Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment when assessing impacts on clients, the business, and senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to present and communicate authoritatively, adapting style across audiences from working teams to C-suite.
  • A strong understanding of questionnaire design, sample design, weighting, and significance testing, with the ability to coach others.

  • Coordinate and guide projects of any complexity, leading research and commercial work and breaking tasks down to develop the wider team.
  • Script surveys on CI/G4 during capacity periods, drawing on scripting support when required, and delegate scripting to junior colleagues for skills development.
  • Apply and communicate sample design, weighting, and significance-testing principles, and coach colleagues in basic and advanced statistical analysis.
  • Maintain and improve team quality control for questionnaires and reports by sharing best practices and suggesting improvements.
  • Apply knowledge of operations functions to support colleagues and drive process changes that improve efficiency.
  • Keep research knowledge current as methodologies and technology evolve, and guide colleagues on online research terminology and use cases.
  • Write proposals from scratch, answer tenders and requests for information, review and guide junior colleagues' proposals, and sign off large-scale proposals.
  • Serve as a specialist and go-to person for sectors or subject areas, applying industry knowledge to pitches and delivery.
  • Lead pricing and methodology for new-business enquiries, balancing client needs, deliverability, and commercial return.

YouGov's fair value drops to $4.64 as analyst targets diverge and Shopper division faces review

YouGov's fair value estimate has dropped from £4.43 to £3.65 amid diverging analyst price targets. JPMorgan recently lifted its target by 10 pence, whilst Deutsche Bank and another firm cut theirs by 20 pence and 30 pence respectively, reflecting widening disagreement on the stock's valuation. The company has launched a strategic review of its Shopper division, exploring options including a sale, stating the unit's potential is not reflected in current market valuation. YouGov guided for low single-digit revenue growth for the half year to 31 January 2026, with US and UK growth offset by slight declines in the Shopper business. CFO Alex McIntosh will step down in February 2026 after 19 years, with James Davies appointed as interim CFO.
