- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must have three years of experience in the clinical area with at least one year in the area of specialty, or a bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two years of experience in the clinical area and at least one year in the area of specialty.
- Must hold a current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Compact license, or multistate license.
- Must hold certification in the American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Visual color acuity is required depending on the role in specific units.
- Provide supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
- Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.
- Work with a unit-specific patient population.
- Serve as a member of the unit-based leadership team.
- An additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or another clinical specialty certification, is preferred.
