Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Professional certification in dialysis.
- Current certification through BONENT, ANNA, or NNCO.
- A minimum of four years of dialysis experience.
- At least 2,000 hours of clinical work in the last three years.
Responsibilities
- Maintain open communication with the Program Director.
- Provide classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction based on school and program policies.
- Collaborate with the Director of Education to develop course schedules, syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials for each assigned course.
- Demonstrate practice skills and deliver course content related to course objectives.
- Create an environment conducive to student learning in the classroom and laboratory using a variety of instructional modalities.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe teaching environment in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
- Maintain professionalism and classroom management with a diverse student population.
- Address students' individual and group needs in a manner that fosters student retention.
- Plan and conduct Certified Hemodialysis Technologist certification workshops.
- Maintain, inventory, and order dialysis equipment and supplies.
- Evaluate student performance in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical areas using designated evaluation tools.
- Demonstrate knowledge of academic and student services policies.
- Demonstrate constructive planning and general effectiveness based on student and administrative evaluations.
- Submit and update required paperwork, reports, and evaluations for students and administration.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
