Arctic Wolf launches AI-driven endpoint tool that disrupts and rolls back attacks mid-flight

Arctic Wolf has launched Aurora Adaptive Threat Protection, an endpoint security product that uses AI to spot and stop attacks earlier. The company unveiled it on October 14, 2026, at its Security Operations Summit. The tool maps endpoint activity to detect malicious intent, even when individual actions look harmless. It can interrupt an attack and roll back its effects. It runs alongside existing endpoint protection and detection tools, so customers need not replace them. Arctic Wolf says ransomware made up 44% of its incident response engagements in the past year. It is backed by a platform that processes more than 10 trillion security events a week across more than 11,000 customers. The product is now in exclusive beta for Arctic Wolf customers.

AI threats are evolving fast. Your employees are still the last line of defense.

AI threats are evolving fast. Your employees are still the last line of defense. Learn how new AI security awareness training helps employees safely use AI, recognize AI-powered threats, and strengthen your organization's human defense against modern cyberattacks. New training on using AI safely and spotting AI-powered threats arrives this Cybersecurity Awareness Month Attackers are moving faster than ever, weaponizing newly discovered vulnerabilities before defenders can patch them and building new types of malware that signature-based defenses can't catch. Thousands of organizations around the world rely on its Aurora(R) Superintelligence Platform, a best-in-class agentic security operations center (SOC), to protect against these threats. It delivers 15x faster case resolution while minimizing the likelihood of a successful attack, but that's only part of the equation. One of the most dangerous attack surfaces that AI-powered threats exploit is the human element: a person deciding whether to trust an email, a voice, or an AI tool's answer. Even in this advanced technological threat landscape, your people remain the last line of defense against AI threats. This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Arctic Wolf is giving organizations more ways to hold that line. Arctic Wolf has launched a new training course to help guide employees on how to use AI safely and spot AI-powered threats. And for this month only, eligible new customers can get a free year of Aurora Security Awareness and Training. The gap your employees now stand in. Its 2026 AI & Cybersecurity Trends Report found that AI is now the top cybersecurity concern among security leaders, cited by 35% of respondents, ahead of second-ranked ransomware at 25%. That's because AI is helping attackers find vulnerabilities faster than ever and shortening the time it takes to exploit each one. Attackers adopt every new AI capability the moment it appears, with no safety testing or regulatory oversight to slow them down. It's also producing attacks that have never existed before. Arctic Wolf Labs' analysis of AI-generated malware found that 39% of the samples it collected went undetected by signature-based antivirus solutions, evidence that a meaningful share of what's circulating now is structurally new rather than a faster version of an old attack. Every one of those capabilities, new or familiar, eventually lands in an employee's inbox or on their screen, often before security teams even know it exists. Closing that gap is exactly what the two new modules inside Aurora Security Awareness and Training are built to do. Using AI the right way. Employees are already using generative and agentic AI tools every day, with or without a policy telling them how. The risk is rarely the technology itself, but rather the ungoverned use of it: an employee pasting sensitive data into a public chatbot; another trusting an AI answer without checking it; a third adopting a tool no one on the security team approved. The new AI Basics and Acceptable Use module, Prompted, covers this ground directly, including how AI tools actually work, why outputs carry hidden bias, and why the tools your team is allowed to use for work matter as much as how they use them. Recognizing When AI is being used against you. Cybercriminals are using the same AI tools your employees rely on, and the attacks that come out the other side are now even harder to spot. Phishing emails now read more naturally, and voice messages and video calls can be faked more convincingly than ever. Even the reconnaissance behind an attack now happens at machine speed, making each attempt more personalized than the last. The proof is already in its own data. When employees learn to recognize phishing attempts before they click, incidents drop. Organizations that fully deployed Aurora Security Awareness and Training saw a 36% decrease in phishing-related incident tickets within four months. The new When Cybercriminals Use or Manipulate AI module gives employees the other half of the picture, covering how attackers manipulate AI tools, how to spot AI-generated fraud, and why following a reporting process beats relying on gut instinct alone. Together, these two modules are designed to strengthen that last line of defense, the human element. What's available this october. In addition to the new AI training course, Arctic Wolf has also launched a training series specifically for Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Four weekly sessions cover the habits that stop the most common attacks: among them strong passwords, multi-factor authentication (MFA), phishing recognition, and software updates. Eligible new customers can claim a free year of Aurora Security Awareness and Training, its human risk solution designed to reduce phishing clicks and provide relevant microlearning content that will help develop a culture of security. Arctic Wolf launches new MDR offering for managed service providers.

Arctic Wolf launches new MDR offering for managed service providers. September 18, 2026 Arctic Wolf announced the launch of Aurora MDR Connect, a managed detection and response offering designed for managed service providers (MSPs). This new service aims to provide a streamlined version of Arctic Wolf's cybersecurity platform to partners, enabling them to deliver enterprise-grade security to a wider range of customers more quickly, as reported by Channeldive. Aurora MDR Connect builds upon Arctic Wolf's existing managed detection and response (MDR) services, specifically targeting MSPs that serve midmarket companies and those with fewer than 100 employees. The offering simplifies deployment by eliminating the need for network sensors, relying solely on endpoint agents to collect security data. This allows for faster implementation and reduced operational complexity, catering to businesses embracing remote and hybrid work models. Arctic Wolf's strategy involves treating MSPs as their direct customers, empowering them to integrate Arctic Wolf's technology with their own services. Analysts note that this move positions Arctic Wolf to compete with other MDR providers like Huntress and Blackpoint, though the company must carefully manage its partner tiers to avoid cannibalization. The company emphasizes its channel-first approach, with its MSP program being its fastest-growing business unit.
