Guest Service Overnight Supervisor
About the job
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Guest Services, Front Office, or Night Audit.
- Luxury hotel experience is required.
- A high school diploma is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift 25–30 pounds.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
- Provide overnight guest service and promptly resolve guest requests and concerns.
- Ensure Guest Services standard operating procedures and local standard operating procedures are followed during the shift.
- Complete end-of-day duties, reports, and handover materials for the day team.
- Perform night-audit tasks, ensuring accurate folios, postings, and credit-card settlements.
- Conduct overnight pre-arrival checks and prepare documentation for morning operations.
- Maintain a lobby presence and support team coverage as required.
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed.
- Guide and support overnight colleagues in guest service and audit duties.
- Assist with training initiatives and implementing service improvements.
- Reconcile daily revenue and resolve posting discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute required overnight reports.
- Uphold luxury service standards and assist with VIP handling.
- Relay guest feedback and recurring issues to leadership.
- Maintain training in emergency, fire-panel, and security procedures; respond effectively to alarms or incidents overnight.
- Support property safety checks with Security.
- Assist with communication and switchboard tasks as needed.
- Perform other assigned duties that support hotel operations and guest experience.
- Hospitality education is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in Opera PMS and Microsoft Office is preferred.
