  • A minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited college or university in computer sciences, business administration, public administration, mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in technical operations management or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  • Knowledge of government contract management and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
  • Broad knowledge of information technology processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • Demonstrated experience with Professional Services (NAICS 541611) client service.
  • Experience in consulting, technology, operations management, business process, change management, and planning.
  • Knowledge of management principles and practices.
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to manage, coach, and develop direct and indirect reports.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop systems and procedures for efficient, effective, and accountable programs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general oversight of the firm’s IT and operations infrastructure, provisioning, planning, installation, and operation.
  • Research and plan implementation of current technologies applicable to the industry.
  • Manage system hardware, operating systems, software, and related procedures.
  • Support business development, strategic resourcing, recruiting, and client-serving engagements involving technology, process, and operations skills.
  • Conceptualize, develop, design, and implement engagement, management, and technical procedures for efficient project management and service delivery.
  • Develop and coordinate the consulting firm’s plans, resources, and program expectations.
  • Ensure engagement-team policies, procedures, and practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and business best practices.
  • Oversee the adequacy and soundness of management and operations infrastructure and administration, including implementation and adherence to necessary controls and management structures.
  • Manage and coordinate programs and initiatives while consulting engagement teams and external stakeholders.
  • Review operating results against established objectives and support corrective measures for unsatisfactory results.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day interface with staff, service providers, subcontractors, and clients to support smooth project execution and successful engagement-team operations.
  • Support communications with target markets and clients, brand-image initiatives, internal infrastructure, and marketing and public-relations activities.
  • Support proposal development, information technology, operations, thought leadership, recruiting, and other growth platforms.
  • Support development, review, and approval of reports, client proposals, research proposals, requests, and publications.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training staff on company processes and procedures.
  • Research solutions, solicit input from industry experts, and recommend solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop the long-term vision for technologies and solutions and collaborate with leadership on technology roadmaps.
  • Lead the go-to-market function from an IT perspective and directly manage service-line stakeholder relationship managers.
  • Maintain the security and privacy of information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
  • Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the IT network, including wireless networks.
  • Manage, support, and troubleshoot customer relationship management applications and serve as the primary contact for external systems-operations and maintenance vendors.
  • Oversee development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems, networks, and file-sharing tools.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and management for IT activities.
  • Order, acquire, inventory, and dispose of hardware and software.
  • Assess and respond to IT needs with engagement teams, peers, and staff.
  • Develop, review, and certify backup and disaster-recovery procedures and plans.
  • Ensure the continual functioning of mission-critical operations.
  • Identify, research, and recommend resolutions for complex assignments and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver services for stakeholders.
  • Lead project teams and activities, maintaining focus on successful client engagements and other initiatives.
  • Lead the go-to-market function from an operations perspective and directly manage service-line stakeholder relationship managers.
  • Manage office operations, including administrative support, mail services, records management, hoteling and conference services, work environment, office equipment and supplies, reception, and procurement.
  • Oversee organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in firm meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building, and provide growth paths for staff.
  • Formulate work-team goals and objectives and execute work plans through subordinates.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and management for operations activities.
  • Serve on planning and policy-making committees and complete other duties and projects assigned by operations services and local-office leadership.
  • Implement national methodologies and standardized processes with operations-services leadership.
  • Assess and respond to operations needs with engagement teams, peers, and staff.
